“Glee” star Cory Monteith was found dead in the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in downtown Vancouver, Canada.
CTV British Columbia was first on the scene as word spread around Twitter about his apparent drug overdose. Vancouver Police have ruled out foul play, although an autopsy is scheduled for Monday. There has been no official cause, but Monteith had passed hours before he was found.
Monteith had people in his room on Friday night, but was spotted entering his room by himself in the early hours of the morning.
He was discovered after missing his check-out time. Montieth’s spokeswoman, Melissa Kates, said in a statement, “We are so saddened to confirm that the reports on the death of Cory Monteith are accurate.”
Monteith had come out of rehab April this year. The actor played Finn on the hit television show “Glee,” a singing jock who joins the Glee club.
